Artisan Empanadas by Scorpion Chef was born from a love of craft, tradition, and a passion for bringing authentic Argentine and Latin American flavors to Vancouver Island, BC. Based in Victoria, award-winning Executive Chef Marcelo Anastasi and his wife Nancy hand-fold every generous 7 oz empanada using time-honored techniques rooted in Italian, Spanish, and Argentinian heritage. Using fresh, locally sourced Cowichan Valley ingredients and carefully balanced spices, every empanada is crafted in small batches, never mass produced. Whether you find us at the Duncan, Cedar, Sidney, or Esquimalt farmer's markets, or order frozen empanadas online for home, Scorpion Chef delivers a true artisan experience to Vancouver Island's food lovers.
